Meet the Amazing Roz McCarthy
We are thrilled to share the exciting news that Roz McCarthy has joined the Norwalk/Nagarote Sister City Project (NNSCP) Board Of Trustees and will have the role of Assistant Treasurer. Roz has such an impressive background and so many talents... there is nothing that she can't do!
For eight years Roz lead the Center For Global Studies, as Director of this inter-district magnet school with close to 300 students. Roz was responsible for all aspects of the program including administration, supervising teachers and staff, administering and writing the state grant that funded the program and executing four two-week study tours for students to Japan, China, and Egypt.
Prior to that Roz was the Housemaster/ Assistant Vice-Principal at Norwalk High School. Before that, she taught Journalism and English for 18 years at New Canaan High School.
Roz was a member of the Norwalk Board of Education. Currently, she has a monthly column "Chalk Talk" with The Norwalk Hour, which she debuted in 2015. Her column highlights programs, teachers, and initiatives that make a positive difference in the schools.
Roz lives in Norwalk and travels the world to parts unknown with her husband, Bill.
